An armed man was shot and killed by sheriff's deputies following an hours-long standoff in Mentone, California. The incident began when the suspect allegedly fired shots at a utility crew.
Southern California Edison confirmed that their workers were conducting scheduled tree pruning nearby. Fortunately, none of the utility crew members sustained any injuries during the initial gunfire.
