A Polish green card holder has spent nearly a year in a Kentucky immigration detention facility following her sudden arrest at her Illinois home last August.
Beata Siemionkowicz, who has resided in the United States since 2003, was detained by authorities over decades-old retail theft offenses and alleged document falsification.
