Police have launched a murder investigation following the death of former Conservative Member of Parliament and prominent public figure Ann Widdecombe. The 76-year-old was found deceased at a property in Maidstone, Kent, on Thursday evening. Authorities were called to the residence by a concerned associate who had been unable to reach her for several hours.
