Tensions between Washington and Tehran have escalated once again as Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei renewed calls for retribution against American leadership, closely following a stark overnight warning from former U.S. President Donald Trump.
In a newly released statement, Khamenei reiterated that the Islamic Republic has not abandoned its vow of revenge for the 2020 assassination of military commander Qasem Soleimani. The Supreme Leader emphasized that those responsible for ordering and executing the strike would eventually face justice, signaling that Tehran's long-term strategic animosity toward specific U.S. figures remains unchanged.
